			<title>South West Standing Council</title>

			<description>The Standing Council is an exciting new body that is open to all the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community groups and projects that exist in the South West peninsula. Its main aims are to Enable LGBT community networking, strengthen the Peninsula&amp;rsquo;s LGBT communities and provide a safe space for LGBT people to identify, discuss and act upon issues affecting them. The Standing Council comprises of LGBT community groups and projects from each of the following counties; Cornwall (inc, Isle of Scilly), Devon (inc. Plymouth   Torbay), Somerset (inc. N. Somerset   BANES) and Dorset (inc. Bournemouth   Poole) Each county will have up to 8 representatives, covering a wide range of LGBT groups, who will sit on the South West wide Standing Council - chosen from and by the LGBT community groups and projects themselves. Before groups of the Standing Council in each County, are launched, The Intercom Trust are holding an event in each county to give those who want to be involved the chance to find out more and make sure that the Standing Council will be as useful to them as possible.Somerset (inc.
